The doctors and physician assistants make every effort to return all calls in a
timely manner. After office hours, you may reach the physician on-call for
urgent medical problems by calling (888) 637-8681.
In a life-threatening emergency, you should dial 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room. It is important that you notify us within 24 hours of any emergency room visit in order to provide continuity in your care and insurance coverage.
For your protection, except in the case of emergency, prescription refills will be handled only during regular office hours. You may have your pharmacy call us directly or you may call us at the office with the information. For ongoing prescriptions, please alert us or your pharmacist a few days prior to running out to prevent a lapse in your medication.
Except in the case of an emergency, we will require 24 hours notice to process your prescription request.
In order to make test results available to you in a timely manner, we have implemented a Patient Communicator system. When you have a test in our office, you will be given a card with your personal identification number (PIN) and instructions on retrieving your results. Your doctor will review your test results and leave a confidential message for you on the Patient Communicator voice mail system. You may retrieve that message at any time, day or night. If you have not received your test results within 14 days, please contact the office. Please rest assured that any urgent test results will be called to you immediately.
Many insurance plans require referrals that need to be obtained prior to any visit with a specialist. Referrals will be mailed to the patient or can be picked up from the office. Except in a medical emergency, we will not fax referrals. Referrals cannot be back-dated, as this violates the agreement that has been made with your insurance company. We are not responsible if your specialist allows you to see them without the proper referral.
Except in the case of an emergency, we will require 48 hours notice to process your referral.
When the Federal Government is closed due to inclement weather, our offices will be closed. If the weather conditions are questionable, please contact the office to verify the status of your appointment.
